Found The Answer

Before graduated from my studies, I've always search for an  answer for this question; Where is the place which is good for us to start our career? Site (mostly contractors) or Office (engineering consultants)?

Of course, different peoples with different answers.

i)     Contractors
One reason is; it is suitable for unmarried person to work at site because they can travel and work far away from home. Working at site also expose us with actual site condition that will greatly improve the understanding of engineering works.

ii)    Consultants
Most people will suggest to work at consultant. Where the design starts here and then continued with construction letter. Plus, it is good for those who want to pursue for Professional Engineer (PE) title. This will enable them to qualify for the examination much early compared with those who starts working at site.

But, I just found the satisfying answer just now. After my Project Manager knows that I already tendered my resignation. The answer is "Work at site for 6 months at least, or 1 year at most. Don't work at site for too long. Then quickly enter consultancy firm. That is ideal. Why? Just take at most 1 year to look at the actual condition. Get the feel of construction site. And later you can actually design and take consideration based on site condition. But why don't stay there (site) too long? Because if you are too late to enter the consultants firm, they might not want to hire you as your salary level is already high but in actual you don't have any experience on design. Plus, enter the bungalow construction site. There you will learn so many things from earthwork to the finishing works."

p/s: the irony is, I got the answer from the person which caused me to resign. Hahaha.
